Introduction

"And, before my dreaming eyes, Still the learned volumes lay." (Bronte)

Have you ever felt overwhelmed with literature? Have you ever wished someone could make literature fun and exciting? We will walk you through a fun and exciting way to learn about literature, mainly literature by the Bronte sisters.

The Task

Your group will consist of three people. Each person will choose a Bronte sister, which you will focus on during this task. You will find out as much information on the sister that you have chosen.

Your group will make a chart, which shows similarities and differences between the Bronte sisters. Some of the items you will look at will be : Writing styles, vernacular, amounts of poems and novels, and genre (romance, historical, mystery, etc.)

You will be looking through different Internet sites to find out all you can about Charlotte, Anne, and Emily Bronte. When finished, you will be able to write up a brief summary of the Bronte sister of your choice. This does not have to be the sister that you were using above.

There are two pictures at the top of this page. Each group will need to find out which two sisters are pictured above and which one is not pictured. This will be for extra credit.

Process

1.First you'll be assigned to a team of three students. Each student will select a role that was described in the task section above.

2.Conduct research by using the web resources provided.

3.Put together the chart.

4.Write up the summary of your favorite author.
